Portmeirion Venus Fly Trap Large Canister (no lid) or Cylinder Vase

Portmeirion large porcelain canister bottom (no lid) featuring the 'Dionaea Muscipula', or Venus Fly Trap, from the Botanic Garden Collection designed by Susan Williams-Ellis and first produced in 1972.

This is the original large (8") canister with lid produced but with no lid, would make a decorative large cylinder vase or a beautiful utensil holder. Or perhaps a replacement if you have a lid, or can purchase a lid. 
In excellent condition, however there is very tiny wear to the 'o' in the latin wording of the plant (pictured).

Measures approx. 192mm (H) x 120mm diameter.

Portmeirion celebrated 50 years of its Botanic Garden collection in 2022. 
Portmeirion was founded in 1960 in England by pottery designer Susan Williams-Ellis and her husband Euan Cooper-Willis. Their pieces are highly collectible.
