An amber coloured square form glass bowl with a lovely and interesting design featuring twin handles of an elephant head and trunk. There is also a jungle leaf detailed pattern on the alternate sides to the handles.
The bowl was made by Sowerby Glass, England, appearing in catalogues in the early 1950's. The design made have been made earlier than this with Sowerby Glass first producing ornate styles using animal figures in the early part of the 20th century.
Would be a nice salad bowl or fruit bowl, or add to a collection of amber glass for display.
