Vintage Clarice Cliff for Newport Pottery, England, Water Lily bowl in yellow.
This bowl was first made in 1938 and is a popular and highly collectible piece due to the attractive design. It can be used as a flower bowl or vase, planter or just simply display this piece anywhere in the home. This colour seems brighter than other versions of the yellow I have seen with seemingly heavier brush strokes. A lovely bright and beautiful piece.
In excellent condition with no chips, cracks or repair. Very minimal crazing in some areas, hardly noticeable.
The base is marked Clarice Cliff, Newport Pottery Co. England, with the serial number 973.
Measures approx. 225mm x 180mm x 125mm (H), opening is 175mm x 130mm
