Whiting & Davis silver mesh handbag

Fantastic retro 1970's silver mesh handbag by Whiting & Davis, made in the USA.

A unique style with large mesh tiles and unique squeeze opening, which is used for flat style purses like this example. Finished with a wonderful belcher style chain, each link having detailed ridges, and long enough to wear as a crossbody bag. Internal lining includes one side pocket and Whiting and Davis label, some discolouration as expected with age to the top white internal fabric trim. Each exterior side is finished with a silver decorative tag, top centre.

This is an excellent example of a mesh purse with it's original plastic cover and box. The mesh is in excellent condition.

These fashion accessories were very popular in the 70's and 80's and this handbag will create a unique addition to any outfit. They are highly collectible and rare to find in such excellent condition in it's original box.
