Collectible Royal Doulton large character jug, Sairey Gamp, by Harry Fenton.
Sairey Gamp was modelled on the Charles Dickens 1843 character, she is a midwife and nurse. The character jug was designed by Harry Fenton and Leslie Harradine, and produced between 1935 - 1986. Number D5451.
This jug is the large size character jug (head only as opposed to the full body toby jugs) produced by Royal Doulton for over 60 years and are highly collectible.
In excellent condition, seems to have had little to no use. Can be used as a decorative collectible item for display or as a large jug.
