Crown Devon art deco dog figurines - Sold separately
These are the iconic art deco ceramic dog figurines first produced in the 1920's by the British pottery company S. Fielding & Co. (Crown Devon).
These gorgeous and character-filled hounds were originally designed as a novelty item and quickly became a popular collectible. Made from ceramic, 'Dismal Desmond' - the nickname given - was hand painted in various colour combinations and features the long droopy face and sad eyes, capturing a comical yet endearing sense of despair.
They were produced in different sizes and are still highly sought after by collectors of art deco, novelty dogs and British pottery.
Sold separately - small white with amber eyes, large white with hand painted eyes and the lovely hard to find blue version, also with amber eyes. In excellent condition.
