Rare antique hand painted Empire Ware 'The Bush Road' sandwich tray and 2 matching octagonal plates by Empire Porcelain Co, England. Circa 1925.
Marked on the underside 'The Bush Road', Empire Ware EPCo with crown marking, this marking used from mid 1920's - mid 1930's.

It features a hand painted scene, man walking his dog along a country road. Detailed scroll work on sandwich tray handles with wavy edge, octagonal design of the small matching plates. Each piece is unique due to the hand made nature of the art, signed by artist Allan M Lewis.
Crazing evident, consistent for age.

Perfect for high tea to serve sandwiches or sweets, would make a lovely display. A very collectible and hard to find design set.

Excellent vintage condition with only one tiny minor chip to the underside of the tray, as pictured.
