This richly coloured burgundy bowl features hand painted florals and gold scroll work within an ornate, gilt bronze centre banding, with ornate handles and top knob. The bowl is supported by three ornate legs.
Limoges is a city in southwest-central France, known for its decorated porcelain. There are several porcelain makers in the region. This piece has the gold Limoges label with 'peint a la main' or hand painted.
