Antique English feldspathic stoneware small jug with cobalt blue neck and spout.

The body of the jug is decorated with an applied fox hunt scene with horses, trees and dogs in beautiful detail, with a ribbed base. This is a small jug, creamer or sauce size.

These types of stoneware jugs were produced in the early 1800's by a number of potters including Adams, Spode, Chetham & Woolley and Minton, to name a few. No markings which is usual for these pieces. This type of pottery is often translucent when held to a strong light.

In excellent condition, with only small glaze loss on the spout.

Measures approx. 90mm (H) x 95mm (W, incl. handle and spout) x 70mm diameter, approx. 170mL capacity
